Support and empower students through on-going check-ins and reflective exercises.

Practices

  • ​Offer optional synchronous Zoom sessions at key points (start/end of the semester, and prior to major assignments).

  • Incorporate non-graded self-assessments and/or reflections into each module of your course.

  • Connect students with their online student support coach when needed. Advocate for the addition of this important role in your program if it does not already have one.

  • Encourage students to fill out mid-course and end-of-semester evaluations. Inform them of how their anonymous contributions improve the quality of your course.
